How an online game works
Make a room
One player creates a room and shares its four-letter code.
Join
Friends type the code. Bots fill any empty spots.
Host runs the game
The host's device runs the rules and the bots and sends the game state ten times a second.
Hand-off
If the host leaves, another player takes over automatically and the game keeps going.
The games
- Duck Chase (tag and freeze tag), Duck Duck Goose, Red Light Green Light, Marco Polo, Hide and Squeak
- Hot Egg, Duck Baseball, Ducks Ahoy!, Goose Says, Gator Swamp, Lily Pad Disco and Chick Train
- Three playgrounds: Sunny Park, Lily Pond and Tropical Island, with seasonal decorations
How it works
- Play against 0–7 bots, or online with friends by sharing a four-letter room code. Bots fill empty spots.
- The host's device runs the game and broadcasts state ten times a second; if the host leaves, another player takes over.
- A small Cloudflare Worker relays messages between players in a room. No accounts.
- One codebase ships as the iPhone/iPad app (Capacitor) and as a web version.
Made for kids
- No ads, no third-party analytics, and no personal data collected.
- No chat and no public matchmaking. Kids join only by typing a code a friend shares. The only message is a quack.
- Simulation and screenshot scripts test every game mode and every screen size before each build.
